How brain works
Mamta Kumari
The brain is the control center of our body, managing everything we think, feel, and do. It’s made up of billions of nerve cells, or neurons, that communicate with each other using electrical and chemical signals. These neurons are connected by synapses, which allow information to pass from one neuron to another.Different parts of the brain handle different tasks. For example, the cerebrum, the largest part, controls thinking, memory, emotions, and voluntary movements. The cerebellum helps with coordination and balance, while the brainstem controls automatic functions like breathing and heartbeat. When we experience something, sensory information travels to the brain, where it is processed and interpreted. For instance, if you touch something hot, sensory neurons send signals to your brain, which quickly interprets the heat and sends a message back to pull your hand away.
