Hello Everyone! Myself Nina, here to share our experience in the recent kaizen journey we went through. Over the past few years, our GBS planners had been found guilty on a few instances, for entering wrong due dates in BaaN while releasing production orders. When enquired, we came to know the error was made largely when transitioning from one year to the next, and at times simply due to negligence. Although a manual control mechanism was in place to keep the process in check, the occurrence of a human error was undeniable. We had to justify our actions and come up with corrective and preventive actions to our site counterparts. You know the protocol, right? One more misstep and our credibility as a center of excellence will be up for trial. This called for a sophisticated and a systematic solution to prevent the human errors. After spending countless man-hours with the BaaN development team, explaining the necessity of such a solution and getting them aligned to our goal. Finally, we were able to successfully develop a solution in BaaN with the help of the BaaN development team. The GBS planners no longer worry about manual errors while releasing production orders. Also, the best part is that the enhancement is for the entire AM3 server, so others can also benefit from this.
