Ludmilla, relieved that she doesn’t need her glasses to read the spell book, begins brewing her potion. She mixes ingredients, mumbles incantations and stirs vigorously. But suddenly she notices that she accidentally added a wrong ingredient. Instead of a love potion, a green cloud of smoke fills the whole hut. The raven Ajax, who attentively watches the events, gets a cough attack and hastily flies out of the window to get some fresh air. Ludmilla coughs and gasps for air as the cloud of smoke slowly dissipates and bathes the hut in a colorful light.. When the smoke finally settles, a friendly young man in a green cloak stands in front of Ludmilla. Excuse the inconvenience, venerable witch, he says politely. My name is Ferdinand, and I was a frog until your potion freed me.. Ludmilla marvels at this unexpected turn and invites Ferdinand to sit down. Together they exchange stories, while Ludmilla learns that not all spells work as expected. And so begins an unusual friendship between the forgetful witch Ludmilla and the former frog Ferdinand, who will experience many adventures together.
